Hrithik sexier than Salman, Ranbir: Twitter poll Hindustan Times

Bollywood fans will unanimously agree that even at 39, Hrithik Roshan is still one of the hottest male stars in the industry. So it hardly comes as a surprise that Hrithik has topped the chart of Sexiest Male Celebrities, beating others like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. One of the

latest weekend polls by the consumer research company Ormax Media on Twitter has come up with the result

“While Hrithik beating Salman and Shah Rukh has come as a surprise, it was nothing less than shocking to see Ranbir Kapoor, who is being called the flavour of the season, at the bottom of the list,” says an industry insider.

But nonetheless, Hrithik is excited about the results. When contacted, the Krrish star says, “I am extremely humbled at the decision of the public. A big thank you to all for this dose of encouragement.” It’s interesting to note that Hrithik has topped the list in spite of not really being in the public eye much recently — the actor has only had two films — Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD; 2011) and Agneepath (2012) — in the last two years. Salman and Akshay, on the other hand, had multiple releases.

While Hrithik tops the men’s list, his ZNMD co-star Katrina Kaif beat off competition to emerge as the hottest actress. Other names that bring up the list are Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma.

Interestingly, Hrithik and Katrina star together in Siddharth Anand’s Hindi remake of Hollywood blockbuster Knight And Day (2010).

Shah Rukh Khan has had his share of controversies in the past, and the actor seems to have found himself at the centre of yet another one. After the publication of an article he wrote for an international magazine in which he spoke about being a Muslim in India, Shah Rukh was reportedly invited by Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed to live in Pakistan. Next, Pakistani interior minister Rehman Malik said India should provide security to the star. In this situation, Hrithik Roshan seems to be sympathetic towards SRK.
“I don’t know what’s happening, but I feel that people shouldn’t make a big deal about it,” says Hrithik. He also regrets the underlying tensions and strains between actors and others in the film fraternity and takes pride in maintaining a clean image through his career.
“If you follow my life, I’ve never had an issue with anyone. Things that were said about me haven’t hurt me. I give people the benefit of the doubt. When people say bad things about me, I love them in return,” says the actor, who is busy with the post-production of Krrish 3.
Hrithik thinks it is immature of actors to indulge in ego wars and fights. “You should stop fighting when you’re out of school. Then you have to grow up and mature.
People can say things, words can be twisted, you can misinterpret what people are saying, succumb to anger or insecurity and in that frame of mind, you end up saying things that you don’t mean,” says Hrithik.

Hrithik replaces Salman -- Daily News
Last year, beverage giant Coca Cola signed Salman Khan to endorse Thums Up after the firm dropped Akshay Kumar, ending almost a decade-old association with the actor. In the latest move, Salman has been replaced by Hrithik Roshan as Mountain Dew’s new celebrity face after the firm ended its deal with the Dabangg (2010) star.

According to PepsiCo India (the makers of Mountain Dew), Hrithik “truly reflects the daring, bold and fearless persona of the brand and its consumers.” Interestingly, this is the latest deal to be bagged by Hrithik, who endorses around a dozen other brands including Hero, Acer, iBall and Liberty, among others.

We’ve also heard that recently, the actor rejected a big offer from a prominent mobile company to endorse it because he wasn’t very pleased with the marketing ideas. Apparently, he turned down an offer of R15 crore because according to him, the brand was trying to hard-sell the product. “Hrithik doesn’t use a phone made by that company, so he though it wouldn’t be right for him to endorse it,” adds the insider.

Last December, he also lapped up a big endorsement deal with the Swiss watch brand, Rado. On the Bollywood front, Hrithik is busy wrapping up father Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3, followed by Siddharth Anand’s remake of Hollywood hit, Knight And Day. Despite repeated attempts, Hrithik couldn’t be reached for a comment.

Hrithik Roshan opens about his stammer
Hrithik Roshan has revealed how he ended up with a stammer, and the issue got resolved only once he sought the help of a speech therapist.

Hrithik opened up about the issue on UTV Stars’ ‘Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani’.

“It all began when he was growing up. He used to imitate his house helper’s diction and way of talking. This became a habit and the habit stuck on. He actually started talking like that and had to get the problem corrected by a speech therapist,” said a source from the show’s set.

Hrithik began his stint in the industry as an assistant director to his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. He made his acting debut with ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ in 2000.

The actor traces his journey from the start to date, on ‘Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani’.
