Born on January 10, 1974 to the film star Rakesh Roshan and wife Pinky. His mother, Pinky, is the daughter of producer and director J. Om Prakash. Hrithik as known as Duggu acted as a child artist in his first movie “Aasha” (1981) when he was only six years old .
Being the grandchild of Producer J. Om Prakash, Duggu debuted in films as a child when he played a role in his Nana-ji’s movie Bhagwan Dada. Later, he also danced for a song sequence in his grandfather’s Aasha (starring Jeetendra). He made his film debut as the leading man in the film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai .
Hrithik Roshan attended the Bombay Scottish School and later attended Sydenham College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Hrithik is married to daughter of prominent actor Sanjay Khan’s daughter Suzanne and blessed with two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
He became the fifth Indian actor to have been replicated as a wax statue at London’s Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. In 2012 he started his TV career as a judge in a new TV series Just Dance.

Hrithik opened up about the issue on UTV Stars’ ‘Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani’.
“It all began when he was growing up. He used to imitate his house helper’s diction and way of talking. This became a habit and the habit stuck on. He actually started talking like that and had to get the problem corrected by a speech therapist,” said a source from the show’s set.
Hrithik began his stint in the industry as an assistant director to his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. He made his acting debut with ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ in 2000.
